2025 Cadillac Optiq: A new era for luxury Electric Vehicles

The 2025 Cadillac Optiq pushes into the luxury electric vehicle market with a bold vision of advanced technology, compelling design and pricing. The price of entry is $54,390—aimed at opening the market up to more luxury electric driving. That range-topper starts at $57,090 and includes additional bells and whistles no doubt in line with Cadillac’s initial estimates.

Trim Levels and Pricing

Optiq is available in four trim levels: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2 and Sport 2. At the bottom of the range is the least expensive Luxury 1, with the top-end Sport 2 listed at $16,200. They each have 300 hp and 354 lb-ft thanks to a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. When combined with an optional 85 kWh battery, the Optiq provides an estimated 300 miles of range, so it can be both a city car and a capable on-road cruiser

Advanced Features

Underneath the Optiq’s massive panoramic glass is a 16-inch OLED display instead of an instrument cluster, encompassing everything from traditional gauges to infotainment. A 19-speaker AKG studio sound system with Dolby Atmos accompanies an equally premium audio setup. Escalade buyers will also benefit from the feature sets of Super Cruise, Cadillac’s hands-free driving assist.

The Optiq is also speedy to charge, adding 33 miles of range per hour on a 11.5 kW AC charger. It can gain up to 79 miles in just 10 minutes from a 150 kW DC fast charger, which is an ideal scenario for drivers in a hurry to get back on the road.

Competitive Edge

Direct rivals of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq include top luxury electric SUVs such as Tesla Model Y and Genesis Electrified GV70. That may not matter, however, as the Optiq is a compelling proposition thanks to its decent pricing and abundant list of features that offer the luxury experience expected in an electric vehicle. Not only that, it’s eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit could reduce the starting price to $46,800 for qualified buyers, making it even more competitive.
