Alpitronic Unveils 1,000 kW CCS HP Dispenser for HYC1000 Megawatt Charging System

· EVTrader EV News

Alpitronic presented a new high-performance CCS dispenser for its HYC1000 megawatt charging system at Power2Drive Europe in Munich, raising the maximum single-CCS-connector output from 600 kW to over 1,000 kW for the first time.

Italian charging hardware manufacturer Alpitronic has advanced its decentralised HYC1000 megawatt charging system with a new high-performance (HP) dispenser that delivers up to 1,000 kW via a single liquid-cooled CCS connector. The announcement came at Power2Drive Europe in Munich, held from 23 to 25 June 2026. Previously, the HYC1000 system's CCS dispensers were limited to 600 kW; the HP Dispenser pushes that ceiling beyond 1,000 A and 1,000 kW of output. During prototype testing, the unit recorded a peak of 1,041 kW at 1,176 A. The HYC1000 system places eight 125 kW power stacks in a central cabinet that is physically separate from the dispensers; power is distributed dynamically to connected charging points, allowing the full megawatt capacity to be shared flexibly. Adding the HP Dispenser extends this architecture to very high charge rates for next-generation passenger electric vehicles that can accept them. The HP Dispenser will be made available first in Europe. Alpitronic has announced that the HYC1000 system with the HP Dispenser is planned to reach the United States and Canada in 2027.
