BYD sold 419,211 new-energy vehicles worldwide in July 2026, a 21.8% increase year-on-year and the group's strongest monthly result of 2026 to date, according to data released on 1 August. The July total rose 3.9% from the 403,472 units delivered in June.

Overseas deliveries reached a new all-time monthly record of 179,841 units, up 124.3% year-on-year. International markets accounted for 43% of total sales — the third consecutive month that share has reached or exceeded that level — confirming a structural shift toward global expansion as domestic China volumes remain under pressure. Domestic sales totalled 239,370 vehicles in July, a year-on-year decline of approximately 9%, noticeably smaller than the double-digit contractions recorded in earlier months of 2026.

The off-road-focused Fang Cheng Bao sub-brand posted 41,213 units in July, up roughly 190% year-on-year. The premium Denza brand contributed 19,196 vehicles, an increase of 68.8%.

Through the first seven months of 2026, BYD delivered 2.23 million new-energy vehicles worldwide. The company targets 1.5 million international deliveries for the full year of 2026, a goal tracking well ahead of the earlier stated target of 1.3 million.
