BYD has revealed the first official images of its Great Han D-segment flagship sedan, targeting up to 1,008 km on the CLTC cycle. The model makes its world premiere at the Chengdu Motor Show, opening 21 August 2026.

BYD has officially unveiled the Great Han, its first D-segment flagship sedan within the Dynasty family. The company released official images on 27 July, ahead of the car's world premiere at the Chengdu Motor Show, which opens on 21 August 2026.

The entry-level Great Han uses a single electric motor producing 370 kW and achieves up to 1,008 km of range under the Chinese CLTC test cycle. A performance AWD variant pairs two motors for 570 kW of combined output and 880 km CLTC range. A plug-in hybrid option combines a 200 kW electric motor with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, offering up to 370 km of electric-only range.

Standard equipment includes LiDAR on the roof for advanced driver assistance, dual-chamber air suspension and BYD's 5-minute Flash Charging capability. The interior follows a premium brief with a feature-rich layout.

BYD is targeting the competitive Chinese D-segment saloon market, going up against home-grown rivals and established German brands.
