BYD Reveals Official Design Images of Its Second-Generation Seagull, 425 mm Longer With Five Seats and a 95 kW Motor
BYD released official exterior and interior design sketches of the second-generation Seagull — to be named the Great Seagull — on 22 and 24 September 2026, showing a five-seat city car measuring 4,205 mm in length (425 mm longer than the current Seagull) with a 95 kW motor and provision for LiDAR on at least one variant, ahead of a confirmed launch before the end of 2026.

Tesla showed the European-homologated Semi for the first time on the IAA press day in Hanover and opened charger sales to fleets in five markets. Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK can now buy a Megacharger or a 120 kW Basecharger for their own depot, minimum two units. The truck itself is unchanged from the specification published on 11 September, it is still built in Nevada, and there is still no European price, no order configurator and no Long Range version.

Days before IAA Transportation in Hanover, Tesla put the European specification of the Semi on its national websites: one Standard Range tractor, up to 550 km of range at 40 tonnes gross combination weight, 1.0 kWh/km, three rear-axle motors good for 800 kW, and Megacharger charging at up to 800 kW that returns about 60% of range in half an hour. Deliveries from 2027. No price, no order button — and, as our own calculation shows, one mandatory 45-minute break is enough to finish a full nine-hour driving day.
