Tesla launched the Model Y L in the United States on 2 July 2026, the company's first three-row production SUV for the North American market. The US version is fitted with an 83 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors, delivering an EPA-estimated range of 325 miles on 19-inch wheels; the 20-inch Uberhelix wheel option reduces range slightly to 320 miles. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Compared with the standard Model Y, the L adds 150 mm to the wheelbase — bringing it to 3,040 mm — and approximately 180 mm to overall length, creating space for a third row. The interior uses a 2+2+2, six-seat layout: the second row features independent captain's chairs with heating, ventilation, powered armrests and one-touch fold, while the third row offers heated seats, power recline and child-seat anchors. Cargo volume is rated at 89 cubic feet. The Model Y L includes bidirectional PowerShare charging, a second-row 8-inch touchscreen and Tesla's FSD Supervised autonomous driving system. First deliveries of the Launch Series started in the US and Puerto Rico on 2 July 2026.
