Ferrari has presented the Luce, its first fully electric vehicle, a four-door five-seater developed with former Apple design chief Jony Ive's collective LoveFrom. Deliveries are due to begin in Q4 2026.
Ferrari has revealed its first fully electric car, the Luce, marking a major strategic shift for the Italian sports car maker even as rivals Porsche and Lamborghini scale back their EV plans. The Luce, Italian for 'light', is Ferrari's first five-seater and its first four-door model. It was developed with input from former Apple design chief Jony Ive and his creative collective LoveFrom. Ferrari positions the Luce as a high-end grand tourer rather than a mass-market EV, underlining a deliberate low-volume, exclusivity-focused approach to electrification. Deliveries of the long-awaited model are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The launch is notable because several luxury and performance brands have recently delayed or reduced their electric ambitions amid softening demand at the top of the market, making Ferrari's commitment to a bespoke EV a closely watched bet on the future of high-performance electric mobility.
